I was raised on a 100 acre farm in Belmond, Iowa. I've overheard some people say my Iowa background explains a lot about the way I am. I assume they're referring to my charm and intelligence.

I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in music and am an inveterate Iowa Hawkeye fan. With that music degree I now make my living unloading and loading trucks for the U.S. Postal Service. I have a wife, Judy, three children and three grandchildren. I play French horn in two community bands, a community orchestra and a brass quintet; and sing in the church choir. Since this leaves 2 nights a week that I can be home, Judy encouraged me to keep singing with the Roadrunners when we get back together after an 8 year layoff.

I have only one goal left to accomplish. When I grow up, I want to be a dirty old man.
