I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a Norwegian father and an Irish Mother. This combination alone should qualify me to sing with the Roadrunners! (All goofy jokes intended.)
I graduated from the University of Minnesota and embarked on what I thought was to be a career in the U.S. Marine Corps as an officer. After 2 children and 6 moves it became obvious that a lifetime of this wasn't for me. I pursued a number of professional pursuits and am basically self-employed.
Entertaining has always been in my blood; starting in grade school with a song and dance duo, and including leads in various school and civic theatre productions culminating with the district quartet championship. My "mutually exclusive dichotomy" is the Marine Corps training and the mantra "you're not smiling." Mono-Browism is hard to overcome!
My wife of 44 years (Mary), our 3 children and 6 grandchildren have become my "fan base" AND THEY WILL ENJOY IT!!!!
