I joined the Waseca, Minnesota, chapter in 1960 and have been an active member ever since. The Seek-A-Tones was my first quartet (6 years), and it was followed by The Drifters (4 years) and then the Roadrunners (20 years). The Roadrunners were active from 1972-1992. During that time, I've competed at International competition 8 times with the Roadrunners racking up a very forgettable record. I also sang at International with the Minneapolis Commodores 8 times and gathered three medals (5th, 4th and 3rd) in the process.

Now, when the Roadrunners were two months old, I was about the get the proverbial "heave ho," so I enlisted the aid of a voice coach, Jean Traun. (The fact that said coach is a former Miss Minnesota had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with my continued study for ten years!)

It's with a sense of pride that I've been a "stage coach" for some of the finest gentlemen in the Midwest, including many district champions, as well as a number of Sweet Adeline quartets including the Queens of Harmony "Music Gallery." I was a certified stage presence judge and served the Minneapolis Commodores as Treasurer, Administrative V. P., choreographer/coach, and board member.

After teaching science for 30 years, I retired and my wife, Ive, and I split our time living in Mesa, Arizona, and Waterville, Minnesota. Goals? I guess I have none. I reached Wile E.'s goal some time ago.
